Level 3: Metal Etched ID Bracelet

Pre-requisite: Two Level 2 classes must be completed prior to signing up for any Level 3 class.
Class Description: Learn to etch metal to form this Metal Etched ID Bracelet. You decide what name, if any, your bracelet will have. The design you draw will be etched into the metal. You'll also learn how to mask out areas you want left alone. You'll learn how to safely handle the etching compounds. You'll assemble the etched plate into a bracelet of your own design using purchased chain and clasp.
Additional Training: This is a wonderful way to display your chain maille skills. If you don't yet possess that skill, then bring your etched metal plate to one of the chain maille classes to switch out the purchased chain for one you make in Chain Maille class.
General Notes for all the Metalsmith Workshops: Your class fee includes supplies. It is our goal to have you walking out with a completed item or nearly completed item by the end of class. As always in Tippy's classes, use of tools is included. There's nothing you need to bring as a general rule. For metalsmith class you may be asked to purchase your own N95 face mask available at Ace Hardware. All the other safety equipment is provided including a shop apron and safety glasses. Please wear natural fiber clothing and closed toed shoes. Keep your hair tied back and any dangling jewelry, sleeves or ties way from your hands and face. We ask that you stow your personal belongings away from your working area to provide an unobstructed path to the door and sink area.
